When either lighting by match or ignition switch, barbecue will not light. Only after left on, covered does it build up enough pressure to light. Once lit, all the flame holes still don't light or go out frequently.
Last year this bird built a nest in our gas grill. She laid her eggs and after the babies were born, we cleaned it out and bought a cover for it.
We recently had a huge storm and lost our grill cover. We went out and bought another one and when we returned home, she had set up shop again!!!We just bought a new grill because it was too hard to clean this time.
We can secure the cover down with bungees or something, but there will be times that the cover will be off (when it's cooling off and we have to leave, etc.) BTW-PLEASE don't say "just stay home then...",etc.~I'm serious. I could really use some good advice here. These grills were expensive!
We can't move the grill because we live in an apartment and we have to keep it on a small porch. I have tried rubber snakes and it didn't work.
Any good advice? Help... Please!
I am a complete rookie when it comes to gas grills. Just wondering if I need to disconnect the LP gas tank from my grill after every use or can I leave it connected as long as I shut the valve on the tank? Also wondering if storing it outdoor in summer heat (sometimes 100 degree plus) is safe. I have a cover for my grill which covers the tank also but sun is still beaming on it. Just want to make sure before I make a costly rookie mistake.

I just uncovered our grill and this is what happened. (covered in winter) Turned the grill on and it is on now - hopefully it will burn off? Is there a specific cleaning solution for this? I googled it but found nothing... any advice would be appreciated!

I am trying to find a recipe to make beef (or whatever kind of meat) in our gas bbq grill outside. I need to make jerky for a kids class on pioneers so the recipe needs to be the kinds of spices they would have had on a covered wagon.
Recipes or websites would be great. Thanks
